Events

Some of the most notable and unfortunate events in the Frenzyverse include:

Mt. Mox ExplosionHackoons triggered a terrible volcanic eruption on Trader Range, which caused Blocker and his friends to lose all the Bitnuts they stored for an entire season.

Silk Toad Arrest – The Silk Toad ran an underground black market, which allowed forest dwellers to purchase illicit goods with Bitnuts. This was one of the earliest marketplaces in Metawood Forest. It was eventually shut down by authorities from the Old-growth Forest and the Silk Toad was imprisoned. However, he's recently been pardoned, and the forest now waits to see what might happen next.

Dao Desert RiotHackoons fomented a riot among the patrons of the original Dao Desert Lodge, which resulted in the outbreak of a tremendous fire. The ensuing inferno unfortunately incinerated the hotel, reducing it to ashes. Builder Beavers eventually put out the fire with the assistance of cooperative Forkupines by controversially diverting some of the waters of Liquid Lake. However, this permanently changed the growth pattern of Aspeth Trees, and the effects of the fire still linger to this day.

Vanishing of Cottontail Rabbit – A major exchange cave imploded following the mysterious disappearance of its founder, the Cottontail Rabbit. Some even believe this mysterious rabbit faked his own death in order to disappear with troves of stolen loot.

Nutconnect Crash – The collapse of Nutconnect was a foraging scheme that caused many involved to lose their stash holdings in the treacherous waters of Ponzi Pond.

The Crocodile of Walnut Street - This was an incredible foraging crime orchestrated by a duo of Criminowls. The story became infamous when one of the culprits referred to herself, brashly, as the “Crocodile of Walnut Street” in an outlandish music video.

Lunut Catastrophe – All stockpiles of Lunut Stablecones suddenly detonated and crumbled when the magic connections between these cones and Lunut’s own form of Altcone unexpectedly de-pegged and became unreliable. This caused chaos throughout the forest, as all holders of Lunut Cones, as well as associated Stablecones, watched their holdings explode and disintegrate.

Shellsius Collapse – The Shellsious Cave was located near the Alt Coast also offered its own acclaimed form of Altcone. Containing shiny, resplendent bits of coast shells, many acquired the cones, hoping to become independently wealthy. The founder of the cave told investors that it was an alternative to the Acorn Banks, and that holding the Shellcone would given them full control of their own foraging. However, it turned out that the cave had taken out excessive loans against its own assets. After the appearance of the Payback Wolfpack, it eventually collapsed under a barrage of Red Magic. Its founder was recently sentenced to a lengthy jail sentence by forest authorities.

Fir Tree Xchange Fire – This unfortunate tales involved the downfall of a major trading cabin. The founder, S.B. Ferret, sold huge amounts of a magic wood variant known as Fir Tree Timber. Thought to be highly valuable, the wood was actually rotting. However, before this was apparent to customers, S.B. Ferret used it as collateral for enormous acorn loans. At the same time, many forest dwellers deposited massive amounts of loot into the exchange, enticed by the purported value of its infamous timber. Unfortunately, S.B. Ferret invested the customers’ loot into various sapling projects and Shitcones, which also rotted. Eventually, the customers began to demand the return of their loot. The situation was tenuous, but it becomes truly grave when the Payback Wolfpack again appeared to enforce outstanding loans. Unable to pay, S.B. Ferret fled from the exchange, as the wolves burned it to the ground, igniting a fire that spread wildly throughout the forest. S.B. Ferret was also imprisoned as a result of this fiasco.

Hawk Attack – In this scheme, a famous social media influencer attempted to offload a bunch of new Shitcones on unsuspecting buyers. The sale resulted in a major Diphawk attack and an ambush from Hustlers and Snipers. Many involved lost all of their magic loot, but in the end, no one was arrested. Just another day in Metawood Forest.

Bynut Heist – In this incredible robbery, Hackoons successfully stole a massive amount of Aspeth from Bynut, another major trading cabin. This involved a carefully planned and targeted ambush, which resulted in the largest known heist so far in the history of the Frenzyverse.

Moneroot Mayhem - In the depths of the Hasher Mines, a fierce clash erupted between factions of Moneroot Mole Miners. Distributed groups of miners dug tirelessly to protect the roots, as a rival faction of Rogue Miners, the Quillback Horde, led by cunning Hash-hogs, stormed the tunnels. Using swift Tick Scouts to synchronize their efforts in rapid bursts, the Horde’s miners outpaced their rivals, collapsing six key tunnels in a bold move to seize control and claim more treasure. Their aggressive digging disrupted the mine’s harmony, threatening its magic balance. Yet, the loyal Moneroot Miners rallied, redirecting their efforts to reclaim the tunnels, their unity and resolve pushing back the Horde’s dominance. By dawn, the Moneroot mines stabilized, but the clash revealed its vulnerabilities to invaders. Loyal miners resolved to fortify the mines, while the Quillback Horde retreated to plot anew.
