Powers
Obliterate enemies with magical powers:
Magic powers have different advantages and disadvantages. For example, Green Magic is effective against many of Blocker's enemies, but cannot be used indefinitely and must periodically replenish. Its strength also depends on the timing of its use and proximity to Green Columns. Green Columns are pillars of Green Magic that shoot upward from the ground. They range in size and various events may cause them to appear suddenly. Animals with enough power and skill can also summon them on demand.
By contrast, some of Blocker’s more powerful enemies can manipulate Red Magic to their benefit. With training, Blocker can also harness Red Magic to gain new powers and abilities, but he must be careful to avoid its corrupting allure. Blocker can only wield Red Magic for a limited period of time before he becomes susceptible to its negative effects. As well, large concentrations of Red Magic in Red Columns can quickly overwhelm Blocker. Red Columns are volts of Red Magic that descend from the skies. As with Green Columns, they range in size and various events may cause them to appear suddenly. Enemies with enough power and skill can also summon them on demand.
Mystical Grit Frost allows Blocker to freeze even his most powerful enemies and put out fires caused by Red Magic. However, it takes great determination and mastery to truly harness its power, and its source is hidden deep in the perilous labyrinth of Grit Grotto. After the appearance of a True Bear, winter falls upon the forest. Although this presents a difficult time for many forest dwellers, it also replenishes the supply of frost, continuing the cycle of life and magic throughout the Frenzyverse.
